I have a really cool idea for a halloween costume- a modernized flapper with wideleg pants, a sequined bolero and cute shoes but I don't know what to do for the top. I was thinkinf something with fringe but I haven't found anything. Can someone try to find me something to work with? I'm totally open to DIY for part of it. Can't make a whole shirt though.

Can't you get a tank top and sew on fringe rows to it?
You can get fringe at fabric stores like Joanne Fabric or maybe Micheal's?

My boyfriend and I have a murder mystery party to go to set in the 20s. I need to make us both costumes. Am trying to find some help online on how to make a good flapper girl costume and gangster outfit without spending too much.

that sounds like an awesome party!
20's style: finger waves [for hair], fringe dresses, drop-waist dresses, feathered headbands or clips. always wear heels, lots of sequins, and remember to have fun because that is what the ROARING 20's was all about!

I'm going to a costume party and I'm going to come as a flapper girl. The costume is a bit short though, and I'm planning on wearing white tights with it, but do you think it will look weird?

try some fishnets. they go with the whole flapper era.
