For a fancy dress party I am attending I have been told to come as a Pin-Up girl. Clothes-wise I am fine, but I am struggling with the make up. If you can think of product names and colours that would be great any USEFUL information is welcome.
I am about Naomi Campbell's colour (An NW45 in Mac if that helps.)

When I think of a pin-up girl, I picture red lips and heavy eye makeup. Since you're darker skinned, I would suggest a pigmented gold color eyeshadow. Give it a bit of the smokey look. Another big thing for pin-up girl makeup is thick eyeliner on the top lid. This can be somewhat difficult to accomplish, especially if you're not too experienced with makeup.
The girl in the YouTube tutorial below does a nice pin-up girl eye makeup. You don't have to use the exact products she uses, cheaper versions work just fine. She also doesn't use an eyeshadow for her lids. You can use gold eyeshadow if you like, or just stick to her look. She lists MAC products, but use cheaper alternatives if you don't want to spend the money! Finish with a red lipstick, if you think it suits you.

well since you are NEW to makeup i suggest you apply balck liquid eyeliner on top and make it winged out and apply mascara and for your lips apply a dark red lipgloss or lipstick.
I use MAC liquid eyeliner its super duper bomb!

Pin up girl makeup is really very simple. The emphasis is on the eye lashes and lips. Try doing dark eye liner in a cat eye fashion and use dark mascara on your lashes, or use false eye lashes. Then pick a pink or red color lip gloss that best suits your complexion.
